Finland: Result "UMK 2016" - Semi-Final 1

The first Semi-Final of "UMK 2016" in Finland took place yesterday. The show was hosted by Krista Siegfrids (ESC 2013, "Marry Me") and Roope Salminen. Six contestants were in the battle to get one of three tickets for the national final on 27th February 2016. The audience gave the tickets to Saara Aalto, Stella Christine and Eini.

'UMK 2015' - Show dates:

  • 06.02.2016 - Semi-Final 1
  • 13.02.2016 - Semi-Final 2
  • 20.02.2016 - Semi-Final 3
  • 27.02.2016 - National Final
PKN won UMK 2015 with the song "Aina mun pitää" and represented Finland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Vienna. They failed to qualify to the Eurovision final.

The winner of "UMK 2016" will be honoured to represent Finland at the Eurovision Song Contest in the first half of the first Semi-Final on 10th May 2016 in Stockholm. Who should represent Finland in Sweden? Stay tuned...
