Italy: Tonight! "Sanremo 2016" - Pre-Round 3

The third pre-round of the Festival die Sanremo 2016 takes place tonight. 20 contestants perform their cover songs in Sanremo. The show will be hosted by Carlo Conti, joined by co-hosts Gabriel Garko, Madalina Ghenea and Virginia Raffaele.

Everything starts tonight with a challenge:

                                        Il Volo represented Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Vienna. The three tenors ended with "Grande Amore" on 3rd place in the Eurovision final with 292 points. Il Volo were the winner by the televotes.                                         The winner of the Sanremo Festival 2016 will get the honor to represent Italy this year in Stockholm at the 61st edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. Italy is one of the big five members and will be automatically qualified to the Eurovision final on 14th of May 2016 in Stockholm.
