Bulgaria: BNT confirmed Poli Genova!

 

Bulgarian National Television (BNT) confirmed today that Poli Genova will represent Bulgaria at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Stockholm.

"Poli Genova is already widely popular internationally, especially within the Eurovision Song Contest community. She also did an amazing job as the presenter of the 2015 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, and these were big factors in our choice" explained Joana Levieva-Sawyer (Head of Delegation).

and added: "Our confirmation that we would take part in the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest came very late after we completed our commitments regarding the 2015 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, and it was already clear that our position and reputation had been bolstered by organising that contest. That's why we believe Poli Genova has a very good chance in the competition this year".

Poli Genova is well known for reprsenting Bulgaria already at the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 in Düsseldorf with her song "Na Inat". Do you remember her entry?

For the moment it's only know that Poli Genova returns to Eurovision this year, her Eurovision entry hast to be announced later. Bulgaria returns after a two years break to the competition.

Poli Genova will participate in the second half of the second Semi-Final on 12th May 2016. Will she make it this time to the final of the Eurovision Song Contest?
