Austria will decide in tonights national final of "Wer singt für Österreich?" who will represent the country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Stockholm. Ten contestants are in the battle to win the ticket for Sweden. The show will be hosted by Andi Knoll and Alice Tumler. Alice Tumler was one of the three hosting ladies from the 60th Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Vienna.

The voting will be a mixed jury and tv result. In the first round will be chosen to candidates for a "Super Final". These artists will perform their possible Eurovision entry again. The winner of "Wer singt für Österreich?" will be chosen only by the audience.

The Makemakes won "Wer singt für Österreich" 2015 and represented their country in Vienna at the 60th Eurovision Song Contest with the song "I am Yours". Together with German contestant Ann Sophie they came last with 0 points.
