Iceland: Tonight! "Söngvakeppnin 2016" - Semi-Final 1

Iceland kicks off tonight with the first Semi-Final of "Söngvakeppnin 2016". The show will be hosted by Ragnhildur Steinunn Jónsdóttir & Guðrún Dís Emilsdóttir at Háskólabíó in Reykjavik. Six contestants are in the battle to get one of three tickets to the national final on 20th February 2016. The audience can vote via phone. One of the other three songs can win a wild card to the final.

Maria Olafs represented Iceland at the 60th Eurovision Song Contest this year in Vienna with the song "Unbroken", but she faidl to qualiy to the Eurovision final.

The winner of "Söngvakeppnin 2016" will compete in the second half of the first Semi-Finals on 10th May 2016 in the Globen Arena in Stockholm. Who do you want to represent Iceland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016?
