|Tolmachevy Sisters @ Press Conference 02.05.2014|
Maria and Anastasia Tolmachevy represented Russia in this years competition with the feel-good-song called 'Shine' at the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen. In the Grand Final on 10th of May twins reached at the end 7th place.
Well, we really have to say that the Twins had not the funniest time at Eurovision. In the Press Conference they were confronted with the political situation in their country. They gave very good answers. But that was just the beginning.. In the first Semi-Final they did a very well performance with their 'Shine' and the B&W Hallerne was shining as they performed their Eurovision entry. The audience gave the girls NO chance and after the performance a big part of the audience were 'Buuing' the russian girls. That was not really fair! Ansastasia and Maria are not representing the Russian politic, they represented their beuatiful song and showed the world some love.
For sure for a lot of people it was a big surprise that the girls got a ticket to the Grand Final. They really deserved it and people should vote for the music, the performance and NOT for recent political situations.
Have you already listened the Russian version from 'Shine'?
Have you seen Anastasia and Maria at the Grand Final?
Anastasia and Maria gave an interview after the Grand Final on 10th of May after the Austrian dragqueen Conchita Wurst won with her song 'Rise Like A Phoneix'. The girls seemed very relaxed and happy as they spoke to a russian TV station.
