ESC 2014: 1st Semifinal Result


The 1st semifinal was held. An amazing show with Emmelie de Forrest with their performance of last year winner song were combined with a dancing (after the fairytale 'the ugly duck' by Danish novelist Hans Christian Andersen) and comedy act (as the interval acts, during the voting and the counting of the voting.

And of course the first results are official. We now know, who will participate in the grand final on Saturday and which countries unfortunately have to leave Copenhagen.

After the Semifinal during the press conference the winner of the evening draw their starting position in which half of the grand final they will compete. The countries who get the most votes and therefore will be seen again on Saturday:

ARMENIA - Aram MP3 - 'not alone'

(1st half in the grand final)

SWEDEN - Sanna Nielsen - 'Undo'

(1st half in the grand final)


ISLAND - Pollapönk - 'No prejudice'

(1st half in the grand final)

RUSSIA - Tolmachevy Twins - 'shine'

(2nd half in the grand final)

AZERBAIJAN - Dilara Kazimova - 'Starting a fire'

(1st half in the grand final)

UKRAINE - Mariya Yaremchuck - 'Tick-Tock'

(1st half in the grand final)

SAN MARINO - Valentina Monetta - 'Maybe'

(2nd half in the grand final)

THE NETHERLANDS - The Common Linnets - 'Calm after the storm'

(2nd half in the grand final)

MONTENEGRO - Sergej Cetkovic - 'Moj Svijet'

(1st half in the grand final)

HUNGARY - András Kállay-Saunders - 'Running'

(2nd half in the grand final)



To the other countries of the first semifinal we they thank you for you music and we hope to see you next year again.
