The first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 took place tonight with a line-up of 18 competing contestants. The show was hosted by Oleksandr Skichko, Volodymyr Ostapchuk and Timur Miroshnychenko.

In the voting time it was time for last years winner Jamala to return to the Eurovision stage with a new arranged symphonic version of her winning song "1944".
