Salvador Sobral wins Eurovision 217 with "Amor Pelos Dois"

The grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 took place on Saturday evening in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. In the end it was the Protugese singer Salvador Sobral who won this years competition with his jazz-pop ballad "Amor Pelos Dois". The show was once again hosted by Oleksandr SkichkoVolodymyr Ostapchuk and Timur Miroshnychenko.

With sensational 758 points he is the clear winner, followed by Kristian Kostov from Bulgaria, who came second with his "Beautiful Mess" and "Hey Mamma!" from Sunstroke Project from Moldova, ending on 3rd.

Salvador Sobral already got the hightest votes in the fist semi-final on 9th May 2017. Top favorite Francesco Gabbani from Italy ended only on 6th place with his "Occidentali's Karma" and 334 points.

Interval acts of the final evening have been ESC Winners Ruslana and Jamala. Last years winner Jamala presented her new single called "I Believe In U" and Ruslana, winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 ("Wild Dances") premiered her new single "It's Magical".

First the speaker persons of each 42 competing countries announced the 12 points from the jury votes. After that points each country have been announced from the televotes, begining with the lowest points. Salvador was already the clear winner after the jury votes and it hasn't changed after adding the public votes.

CONGRATULATIONS to Salvador Sobral and Portugal for winning ESC 2017 with "Amar Pelos Dois".

Portugal will host for the first time in Eurovision history next year the contest. The host city and dates for the live shows will be announced on a later day.
