Ukraine will return after a one year break to Eurovision with a national selection. The organisers announced 18 contestants for two Semi-Finals. The national final takes place on 21st February 2016. On 27th January 2016 it was chosen which musician will perform in which of the semi-finals.

Some well known names return to the national selection. Anastasia Prykhodko represented Russia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 with her song "Mamo" (#11). Victoria Petryk was already part of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2008 and in the national selection for ESC 2014 with the song "Matrosy". Behind Mariya Yaremchuk she came second.

The winner of the Ukrainian national final will be honored to represent Ukraine in the second half of the second Semi-Final at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Stockholm. Who should represent Ukraine in Sweden? Stay tuned..

Mariya Yaremchuk won the Ukrainian national final 2014 and was honored to represent her country in Copenhagen with the song "Tick-Tock". She ended on 6th place with 113 points. Do you remember her Eurovision entry?
