Denmark: DR announced 10 candidates for "DMGP 2016"

DR planed to announce 10 hoepfuls for their national selection of "Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2016" on 28th of January 2016. Earlier as expected DR published the list of ten chosen hopefuls with their songs already on 10th January 2016.

"Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2016" - Candidates:

  • Anja Nissen – "Never Alone"
  • Bracelet – "Breakaway"
  • David Jay – "Rays Of Sunlight"
  • Jessica – "Break It Good"
  • Kristel Lisberg – "Who Needs A Heart"
  • Lighthouse X – "Soldiers Of Love"
  • Muri & Mario – "To stjerner"
  • Simone – "Heart Shaped Hole"
  • Sophia Nohr – "Blue Horizon"
  • Veronicas Illusion – "The Wrong Kind"
Simone already participated in the Danish national selection in 2010 and in 2013. Anja Nissen is well known by winning the third version of "The Voice of Australia". Also known are Kristel Lisberg and Sophia Nohr for their participation in X-Factor. 

"Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2016" - Show Date

  • 13.02.2016 - National Final (Horsens)
Anti Social Media represented Denmark at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Vienna with the song "The Way We Are", but they failed to qualify to the Eurovision final by ending only 13th place in the Semi-Final.

The winner of "Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2015" will be honoured to represent Denmark at the 61st Eurovision Song Contest in May in Stockholm. Denmark will perform in one of the Semi-Finals on 10th or 12th of May 2016 in Stockholm. Who should represent Denmark in Sweden?
