Finland: YLE announced 18 candidates for "UMK 2016"

YLE, Finish broadcaster, announced some days ago the contestants for their national selection of "Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu (UMK)". In total will 18 musicians battle in three Semi-Finals to get a ticket to the national final of "UMK 2016" on 27th February 2016.

All shows of UMK 2016 will be hosted from Krista Siegfrids (ESC 2013, "Marry Me") and Roope Salminen.

"UMK 2016" - Show dates:

• 06.02.2016 - Semi-Final 1
• 13.02.2016 - Semi-Final 2
• 20.02.2016 - Semi-Final 3
• 27.02.2016 - National Final

PKN won UMK 2015 with the song "Aina mun pitää" and represented Finland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Vienna. They failed to qualify to the Eurovision final.

The winner of "UMK 2016" will be honoured to represent Finland at the Eurovision Song Contest in one of the Semi-Finals on 10th or 12th May 2016 in Stockholm. Who should represent Finland in Sweden? Stay tuned...
