Estonia: ERR announced candidates for "Eesti Laul 2017"


Estonian broadcaster ERR announced yesterday the candidates for their national selection "Eesti Laul 2017". A record of 242 songs have been submitted to get one of the 20 tickets for one of the two semi-finals.

"Eesti Laul 2017" - Candidates:

  • Lenna Kuurmaa - "Slingshot"
  • Rasmus Rändvee - "This Love"
  • Angeelia - "We Ride With Our Flow"
  • Elina Born - "In or Out"
  • Leemet Onno - "Hurricane"
  • Laura Prits - "Hey Kiddo"
  • Daniel Levi - "All I Need"
  • Antsud - "Vihm"
  • Ariadne - "Feel Me Now"
  • Koit Toome & Laura - "Verona"
  • Kerli - "Spirit Animal"
  • Uku Suviste - "Supernatural"
  • Janno Reim & Kosmos - "Valan pisaraid"
  • Close To Infinity featuring Ian Karell - "Sounds Like Home"
  • Liis Lemsalu - "Keep Running"
  • Alvistar Funk Association - "Make Love, Not War"
  • Almost Natural - "Electric"
  • Carl-Philip - "Everything But You"
  • Karl-Kristjan & Whogaux feat. Maian - "Have You Now"
  • Ivo Linna - "Suur loterii"
One of them is Elina Born. She is known for the Eurovision fans for her participation in Eurovision 2015 in Vienna together with Stig Rästa and the song "Goodbye To Yesterday". This year Stig Rästa wrote the song "In or Out" for her. Besides her Daniel Levi also returns to the national preselection. He already participated 2015 with the song "Burning Lights". Liis Lemsalu was also part of Eesti Laul 2015 together with Egert Milder and the song "Hold On".

Jüri Pootsmann won Eesti Laul 2016 with the song "Play" and represented Estonia at the Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm, but he failed to qualify to the Eurovision final.


The winner of Eesti Laul 2017 will be honored to represent Estonia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kyiv, Ukraine. Who will participate in one of the semi-finals on 9th or 11th May 2017 in Ukraine?
