It's already five years ago since the last participation from Czech Repbulic at the Eurovision Song Contest. Now the country is back with the song 'Hope Never Dies' from a promising duet between Marta Jandová & Václav Noid Bárta.
Both were chosen internally by a expert jury:
- Honza Dědek (Music journalist)
- Martin Červinka (Talent Scout)
- Jitka Benešová (desk woman from Czech Radio)
- Michal Hrůza (Musician)
- Michael Kocáb (Musician)
Marta is very well known in Germany as lead singer from the band Die Happy. She already participated twice in the German 'Bundesvision Song Contest'. Once in 2005 with Apocalyptica feat. Marta Jandová and the song 'Wie weit' and in 2007 together with Oomph! and the song 'Träumst du?', where they won the competition. Marta is very well known for her collaboration with the German pop band Revolverheld in the song 'Halt Dich an mir fest'. This was a Top 10 hit in Germany and they got a gold record for the song in 2010.

Václav Noid Bárta is a 34 years old singer, songwriter and actor. He already played in musicals like AIDA or Jesus Christ Superstar. Together with Marta he will represent Czech Republic in one of the Semi-Finals on 19th or 21st of May in Vienna.
It was in 2009 as Czech Republic participated for the last time with Gipsy.cz and the song 'Aven Romale'. The song got 0 points in the Semi-Final. The first participation was in 2007. Till now they failed to qualify to the Eurovision final. Maybe they will do it this year with this promising couple...
