Moldova: "O Melodie Pentru Europa 2016" - TRM calls for songs!


TRM, Moldovan broadcaster, announced the schedule and rules for the national selection "O Melodie Pentru Europa 2016". The winner will be chosen in the national final on 27th of February 2016. The voting will be a combination of jury (50%) and televotes (50%). Songs can be submitted till 7th December 2015 via email.

Dates for "O Melodie Pentru Europa 2016":

  • 07.12.2015 - Deadline song submission (5 pm)
  • 10.12.2015 - Jury will select 50 songs
  • 19.12.2015 - Live auditions; 24 songs will be selected
  • 23.02.2016 - Semi-Final 1
  • 25.02.2016 - Semi-Final 2
  • 27.02.2016 - National Final

 Eduard Romanyuta won "O Melodie Pentru Europa 2015" with "I Want Your Love" and represented Moldova at the 60th Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna this year, but he failed to qualify to the Eurovision final.

The winner of "O Melodie Pentru Europa 2016" will be honoured to represent Moldova in one of the Semi-Finals on 10th or 12th of May 2016 in Sockholm. Who will represent Moldova at the Eurovision Song Contest in Sweden? Stay tuned..
