AUSTRALIA: This year down-under will take part!

This year will be a special year for all the ESC-Fans down-under. Since there is a huge interest about the ESC in the country of Cangaros and Koalas and every time Australia is named somehow in the semifinal and final show the danish broadcaster DR invited them to take a central role in the second semifinal.

Every year the Australian broadcaster SBS broadcast the Eurovision Song contest. It can be seen on the other side of the world a bit later than in Europe due to the time difference. But still the Aussies love the Eurovision Song contest so much that they also ask every time to take part. But due to the regulations (e.g. broadcaster has to be part of the EBU) there has no chance up to now for a participation. But this time, Australia will take the opportunity to show what the can do. It will be the interval act in the second Semifinal show and it ir promised to be spectacular.

Maybe it is because most of the Australian have European blood in their veins, maybe every Australian has a special connection to the continent -- it doesn't matter why, we say:

Australia, welcome to the ESC-family!!

    Very excited that Aus is having a small role in Eurovision this year. We love our Eurovision. It is true that many Aussies have European blood in their veins - I am one (Italian). Bring on Eurovision 2014. Aussie, Aussie, Aussie - Oi Oi Oi !!! :D
