GERMANY: 'USfD' - National Final voting details announced



Only some days left. Next thursday Germany will decide the representative for this years Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen on 10th of May. Seven finalists were anounced since some month. Only the last participant was chosen via 'Wildcard' on 28th of February in the 'Clubconcert' in Hamburg. 10 Newcomer performed one song (some of them cover songs, some of them own songs) to get the 'Wildcard' for the National Final in Cologne on 13th of March. Each act has two songs for 'Unser Song für Dänemark'.

The lucky Wildcardwinner were Elaiza with their own song called 'Is It Right'. You missed the 'Clubconcert'? Watch their performance here..


Voting details 'Unser Song für Dänemark'

NDR, broadcaster from Germany, anounced now the details for the voting on thursday. The show will have three rounds of voting.
  • Round 1: All eight participants will perform one song. The audience decide their four favorites for the second round. 
  • Round 2 (Semi-Final): The four winners from 'Round 1' are performing their second song. The audience decides now which two songs (Round 1 & Round 2 together) from the last four acts could be a good choice for Copenhagen. 
  • Round 3 (Grand Final): In the last round we only have two finalists with their songs. The audience decides now the winning song which will represent Germany at this years Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen on 10th of May.
