Eurovision Young Musicians: Ziyu He from Austria wins EYM 2014!

Yesterday the 17th edition of the Eurovision Young Musicians took place in the center of Germanys city Cologne next to the big cathedral 'Dom'. 14 countries participated in the EYM 2014 edition.

These were the contestants and their instruments in tonights running order:

  3. Malta Kurt Aquilina (Guitar) 
  4. Hungary Gergely Devich (Violoncello) 
  5. Slovenia Urban Stanič  (Piano)
  6. Austria Ziyu He (Violin) 
  7. Poland - Bartosz Kołsut (Accordion)
  8. The Netherlands Lucie Horsch (Recorder)
  9. Portugal André Gunko (Cello)
  10. Greece - Vassilis Digos (Guitar)
  11. Germany Judith Stapf (Violin)
  12. Sweden Albin Uusijärvi (Viola)
  13. Czech Republic Martin Kot (Accordion)
  14. Norway Sonoko Miriam Shimano Welde (Violin)

The weather in Cologne couldn't be better and the audience on the Roncalliplatz enjoyed the classic event very much. After the first seven contestants played their pieces we saw as 'Special Guest' the 'Fyling Steps'. After all the 14 countries played their final pieces all 14 contestants played together on piece which was produced especially for the EYM final. 

At the end Ziyu He from Austria got the most votes from the Jury. Scond came Urban Stanič (Piano) and third place goes to Gergely Devich from Hungary (Violoncello).
