Norwegian broadcaster NRK opened today the submission for 'Melodi Grand Prix 2015'. This year the Scandinavian country were represented by Carl Espen with the song 'Silent Storm'. Carl reached the top 10 on 8th place with 88 points.
NRK is searching for next years representative for the 60th Eurovision Song Contest which will take place in Austria, after the victory from Conchita Wurst on 10th of May with 'Rise Like A Phoenix'.
Vivi Stenberg (Music Coordinator MGP) calls out for as many as it's possible songs to be sent in.
"Basically anyone can submit songs for MGP... Of course we are looking for a song which can win the 60th edition of Eurovision Song Contest next year in Austria. We want songs which refelct what we are good in here in Norway.." said Vivi Stenberg.

"In addition, there is much attention paid to the artists that participate in Eurovision , so you have to be ready to do a lot of interviews , radio appearances , meet new fans and offer themselves. Winner man all the fun, so waiting potentially 195 million viewers from around the world , so when you have to control the nerves and voice.." Vivi continued.
Last year more than 600 songs were submitted for Melodi Grand Prix 2014. The listeners group reduced to 15 songs for the national selection. How many songs will make it to the national selection in MGP 2015 is not sure yet. The concept is in process at the moment.

The digital registration for MGP 2015 opens in a few days! The submission deadline for the song is 1st of September 2014.
