  • January 15th: BIRMINGHAM, UK
  • January 16th: LIVERPOOL, UK
  • January 18th: GLASGOW, SCOTLAND

Here we have a very special personal message from Tim:

"I haven't played a real full band gig in the UK ever before. London is a city I've been flirting a lot with throughout my career. London was the first time I took my guitar and got on a plane to go to a big city to play my songs. This is like 8 years ago. I slept on couches and seeked out pubs and singer/songwriter clubs where I could get a slot to play for a nice meal to get through the day. That was a very special experience for me and gave me a special relationship to the city London, and that was actually how my old band "A FRIEND IN LONDON" got their name. - Since then I've been touring with AFIL supporting Backstreet Boys and New Kids On The Block, playing the biggest Arenas in UK. - So now I'm solo with new musicians backing me up and I seriously can't wait to fulfill this dream of playing a show in London with my very own music. Music is very personal for me and I live for the experiences. I live for the moments. Sharing this with people is the most beautiful thing I can imagine. And this is not just a concert. It's a showcase. Which means that there'll be important people/labels etc there who could have an important saying in me getting a chance to build a career in the UK. So all the support I can get for this big evening is appreciated big time.
I will be playing 'New Tomorrow' as the only song from the good old A Friend in London times. I have never played a show without 'New Tomorrow'. It's become like a thing I NEED to do now. I owe a lot to that song so it's very special to me. And of course my first single as a solo artist: SUPERNOVA and then a lot of new tunes from my coming album.
There's only 150 tickets on sale, so hurry up and get yours now ;)"

DRUNK TONIGHT

*** Lyrics ***

Nothing is worse than a drunk ex text so stop wherever you are
I know this hurts and it's all a mess,
but stop and live with the scars.

What we had is never coming back
and what you did will never be forgotten
you can't fix it it's already dead,
so let it go.

I just think you're drunk tonight, drunk tonight, you don't really want me back.
I just think you're broke inside, sad and high, you don't really want me back.
So put down the phone
It's time to go home
I just think you're drunk tonight, drunk tonight, you don't really want me back

Nothing you say can ever erase
the way you messed with my head
and nothing you do will ever ring true
you deserve every single regret

What we had is never coming back
and what you did will never be forgotten
you can't fix it it's all in your head
so let it go.

I just think you're drunk tonight, drunk tonight, you don't really want me back.
I just think you're broke inside, sad and high, you don't really want me back.
So put down the phone
It's time to go home
I just think you're drunk tonight, drunk tonight, you don't really want me back

Go to bed, sleep off your sorrow
this will all be gone tomorrow

I just think you're drunk tonight
you don't really want me back.
I just think you're sad and high,
you don't really want me back.
So put down the phone
It's time to go home
Just leave me alone

I don't wanna have this fight, I'm sick and tired, I don't even want you back
You're probably in a bar somewhere, and faking tears, I'm never gonna want you back
So put down the phone
It's time to go home
I just think you're drunk tonight, drunk tonight, you don't really want me back.

Eurovision Weekend 2014: Suzy was the 'Queen of Berlin'

It's one month ago since this years Eurovision Weekend took place in Berlin. One week later we gave you some impressions from the soundcheck... Have you seen it?!

Now it's time to look back to the event, what happened on stage and what you have missed in Berlin..

It was the third edition from Eurovision Weekend, which took place between 18th and 20th of July. The weekend started with a 'Welcome Party' on Friday evening. Eurovision fans sang their Eurovision favorite songs together with this years first winner of the Berlin Song Contes, Lili Sommerfeld.

Well, we already can say that this evening was one of the hottest weekends this year. The Eurovision Weekend visitors had no idea how hot it will be in the evening at the event location 'Pfefferberg 13'.

The event was completely sold out!
“It was a wonderful experience to see so many Eurovision fans from
many European countries,”
says organizer Frank Lochthove
Beginning of the Eurovision Gala on Saturday was the 'Fans sing for Fans Contest'. The level from the participants this year was very high and it was a very good atmosphere. At the end the international jury and the audience decided Christian Deussen as the winner. He performed his interpritation from this years Hungarian participant András Kállay-Saunders with the song 'Running'.

After the winners performance from Christian it was a shor break before Scott Fitzgerald from the UK entered the stage. Scott represented United Kingdom in 1988 with the song 'Run' and came second behind world selling artist Celine Dion.

Scott performed songs like:
  • 'Power To All Our Friends'
  • 'Congratulations'
  • his Eurovision entry 'Go'
  • and he surprised with the english version from first German winning act Nicole and her song 'Ein bisschen Frieden' (A Little Peace)

Before he sang 'A Little Peace' he surprised the audience with a personal video message from Nicole.

After a short break it was time for Lili Sommerfeld. Lili won this year the first 'Berlin Song Contest' with her song 'The War Is Over When We Dance'. She started with 'Can't Wait Until Tonight' (Max Mutzke represented Germany with this song in 2004 and reached 8th place). She also performed together with Nina Emerson the song 'Ther Must Be Another Way'. After that Lili performed her new song called 'Jerusalem'. Lili ended her performance with the BSC winning song 'The War Is Over When We Dance'. The audience danced together with her to her party song.

Lili Sommerfeld performing...
...with Nina Emerson

If people thought the evening couldn't be hotter, they thought wrong.. After another break for some cold drinks outside the venue it was time for this years main act. Any idea how could be?! YES, it was this years fan favorite SUZY from Portugal. She represented Portugal this year in Copenhagen with her party song 'Quero ser tua'. She only missed one point to qualify to the grand final - but we can say, she is one of this years 'Winners of the hearts'.

Suzy started her show with a surprise - she performed this years winning song 'Rise Like A Phoenix' from Conchita Wurst, which brought Austria the second victory after Udo Jürgens in 1966 with 'Merci Chérie'.

What a emotional opening. The audience sung together with her and for sure, everyone had unforgettable moments from a fantastic time in Copenhagen in mind..

After Suzy changed her dress it was time to have some party. She sung together with one of this years host, José, the German entry from 2003. Lou reached 12th place with 'Let's Get Happy'.

Suzy's performance also included:

  • Bem Bom
  • Lusitana paixao
  • Quédate commigo
  • a cover version from Pharrell Williams mega hit 'HAPPY'
  • and of course her Eurovision entry 'Quero ser tua'
From the begining the audience was screaming all the time SUZY.. SUZY.. SUZY.. Well, she was very touched by such a positive reaction from the audience. Everyone sung and danced with Suzy. As she performed first her Eurovision party song 'Quero ser tua' she steped down to the audience and danced and sang together with the people. After more than 40 minutes of power performance she left the stage. The crowd was screaming so loud that she had to come back - and she performed once again 'Quero ser tua'. For the BIG FINAL she invited the audience to join her on stage to sing and dance together with her...

Befor the official program came to an end it was time for the organizers to thank this years Eurovision acts and the hosts José (from Berlin Eurovision group) and Max from the OGAE UK.

José, Suzy, Lili, Scott, Salman, Frank and Max

Suzy, Scott and Lili spent some more hours outside with the international Eurovision fans from Germany, the UK, Norway, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Slovenia, Portugal, Ireland, the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and some other European countries. Everyone was very relaxed and spent patiently time for some pictures and conversations.

Eurovision Acts, Organizers and Fans together with the
oldest Eurovision lady - Oma Ella
The crowd continued the party in the basement till the early morning light...
We already had many ticket registrations even before we announced this year's performing artists, which shows that the event ist establishing itself as an important date in every fan calendar" said Frank Lochthove after the show.
"The Weekend was a complete success. The Artists enjoyed their time with the fans very much and we are already looking forward to next year's Eurovision Weekend, which will be between 17th and 19th July 2015.." continued organizer Salman Tanzeem.
If you wanna see Suzy again, you shouldn't miss this years 'ECG (Eurovision Club Germany) Club Event', which will take place on 22nd of November in the center of Cologne. Michael Sonneck anounced this years acts in Berlin. We already wrote about this event - follow the link and find out who else will join the Club Event in Cologne.

Listen to 'Yucata' from Ingrid Peters

Ingrid Peters - Yucata
Ingrid Peters represented Germany in 1986 at the Eurovision Song Contest in Bergen with the song 'Über die Brücke geh'n'. Her song reached 8th place in the Grand Final. Do you remember her song?

Since her participation she released several albums and she works as radio presenter.

She released her latest album 'Lass es rocken' two years ago. This album includes 14 tracks. Now she released her new radio single called 'Yucata'.

Yucata is a fancy word to express a feeling of life, similar to Schubidubidu. There is no existing word which describes this feeling.
"There is a fantastic musician close to me, who I met as I collaborated with a french singer called Marcel Agam. His name is Laurent Kremer..."  Ingrid said.
"Laurent asked me to record a song with him . The song is about Africa (I already sang a song called Africa) and he thought I could like it. And - as you can hear - I liked his song. Laurent had the idea for the lyrics and I tried to transfer the lyrics into German language. Laurent invited me to his concerts and we premiered the song. After the positive reactions from the audience it was clear, that this song should be a part of my album." she continued.

Listen to 'Yucata' and her latest album 'Lass es rocken' on Spotify:
